High Dependency Day Care
for the Banbury, Brackley, Bicester and Abingdon areas

Regular or infrequent
We offer day care, with or without nursing, to support clients who suffer from conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease or learning difficulties, and give their carers a break. Traditional day care centres cannot always cope with the higher needs of this client group, but at our specialist dementia homes we can help.
Day care can be as frequent or as seldom as required – anything from 7 days a week, for regular stimulation and social interaction, to “once in a blue moon” – e.g. to allow carers to go to the dentist.
We also have the flexibility to offer occasional overnight stays, or longer periods for respite care.
Services and therapies
We provide services such as:
- Activities – e.g. concerts, sing-a-longs, “treat time”, arts and crafts, a gentle walk outside…
- Meals – please let us know of any dietary requirements
- Assisted bathing – especially useful if carers find this a struggle at home
- Treatments such as hairdressing or chiropody, as available on the day
- Therapies such as art therapy, reflexology, massage can be chosen from our menu of options
… but if you would like something more, do please make a suggestion – we will do our best to help!
The benefits of day care
- Adults with higher care needs can get out of the house and receive both mental and social stimulation.
- Carers can have a much-needed break in which to attend to personal needs, or simply rest and relax.
Carers may feel reluctant to use adult day care services because they seem unfamiliar, or because a loved one is hesitant to try something new. If you are uncomfortable about the concept, why not visit us with your loved one to see what goes on?
